"Mixed media monoprint and collage. This is comprised of printed strips of masking tape taken from several hand inked carborundum plates then arranged and assembled to form a collage.

My current work comprising of paintings and printmaking focusses on the personalities of the individual caught up in the confusion and speed of the modern world. My aim here was to create some chaos by deconstructing the faces and re-assemble them.

It was scrolling through ‘Stories’ in social media that inspired this work ‘Squeezebox’.

In these ‘stories’ images flash before us like a never ending ’Show and tell.’ These images are incomplete, mere fractions of a ‘story' which hustle to catch our attention and approval within in a tight time frame and space." - Corinna Button
