Andrea Varotto

Andrea Varotto is an Argentinian contemporary abstract painter living and working between London and Buenos Aires. Her original acrylic paintings explore the relationship between nature and abstraction, translating light, movement, colour and the energy of the natural world into contemplative, large-scale artworks.

Varotto’s abstract paintings draw on flowers, water, light and organic rhythms. Series including The Outside, Inside, Alive Nature and Freedom combine vibrant colour fields, expressive brushwork and layered composition, creating immersive artworks that exist between reality and abstraction. Her nature-inspired contemporary art invites stillness, reflection and reconnection with the environment.

Music often guides Varotto’s creative process, allowing her paintings to unfold with freedom and intuition while retaining the structural clarity of her engineering background. Colour is her primary language, and her large-format canvases balance emotion with order, making them powerful statement pieces for collectors, interiors and corporate spaces.

Trained as an industrial engineer before studying at the Art Students League of New York and with leading Argentine artists at Fundación Cazadores, Buenos Aires, Varotto brings a distinctive perspective to contemporary Latin American painting. Her work has been exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair in London and New York, The Other Art Fair London, Museo Fortabat and the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, with representation through Graystone Gallery, The Art Agency and Saatchi Art. Her abstract paintings connect Latin American art, colour-field painting and contemporary interior collecting.
