A one-of-one original from Lauren Baker's Astral series: ink and certified organic mohair thread worked across fine art canvas, the threads radiating outward like the eruption of a solar flare, each line a filament of energy bursting from the work's core. Inspired by solar activity, our connection to the cosmos, and tribal body markings known as scarification, used to acknowledge rites of passage to higher realms of consciousness. As a unique piece, never to be repeated, it offers the rarity of an original at the heart of a series that also exists in a very limited edition.
