Mark Munroe-Preston biography
Mark Munroe Preston is an artist originally from Yorkshire. He studied photography at Wolverhampton Polytechnic before moving to London in 1991. Mark began to focus more on illustration and computer design, gradually moving away from photography. Since this Mark has worked in many sections of the design and publishing industry. Now Mark lives and works in Sussex, constantly gaining inspiration from the incredible landscapes surrounding him. Each piece of Mark's artwork is titled on the co-ordinates the photograph was taken.
Marks creates ‘Treescapes’, a landscape where the main focus is on trees. Mark has always been drawn to landscapes and much of his love for photography stemmed from that. However, Mark believes that landscapes without trees are empty, therefore he made them the centre of his art.
Marks artwork uses photos that are then digitally merged with other photographs, paintings, drawings, textures and found objects to create the final piece.
