The Dream Gardens monotypes are a series of 25 works using hand painted and collaged elements on silkscreen prints. Based on his wife Rosy's garden in Spain, McLean uses colour and texture to create shadows, forms and the suggestion of light to express his vision of his dream garden. McLean has also used this theme to create a series of ceramics called Garden Ware.
