Radiant Moon is a moon made of light. A pink neon ring glows at the centre of the canvas, circled by a celestial aura of ink with hand-embellished diamond dust on fine canvas, so that around the neon orb the painted field shimmers with cosmic dust. The artist's own words set the work's intention: she had been bathing in moonlight, she says, and it felt good. The celestial aura is green and pink, inspired by the energy of the heart chakra, the seat of love, and the moon itself is our celestial light orb, ever present, ever radiating its energy over us, moving over the earth the way the tide moves. The composition holds that radiance in structure: the neon ring is the moon's body, the diamond-dusted aura its field, the frame its orbit. Where the Auric Field works place a glowing form within a painted energy field, Radiant Moon makes the light the subject itself, and the heart-chakra palette keeps the work tender rather than astronomical: this is the moon as a presence in a life, the light you sleep under, not a rock in a vacuum. It is also, at 137 x 137 cm unframed, a substantial presence on a wall, sized to hold a room the way its subject holds a night sky. Pink neon ring and ink with hand-embellished diamond dust on fine canvas, in a box tray frame. Edition of 6; unframed 137 x 137 cm, framed 142 x 142 cm, with a framed large edition at 184 x 184 cm. £14,000.
