A neon artwork by British artist Lauren Baker titled This Moment. The words 'This Moment' are bent in flowing white neon script across a deep black panel, the handwriting loose and personal, as if signed in light. The white glow radiates a soft halo into the darkness around it, the letters seeming to float on the black ground with no other element to compete with them. The single phrase, held alone in darkness, carries the work's whole message: an invitation to arrive in the present. Lauren Baker | This Moment
A styled interior photograph showing This Moment, the white neon artwork by British artist Lauren Baker, hung on a grey plaster wall. The black rectangular panel holds the handwritten neon phrase 'This Moment', its glow forming a soft halo in the otherwise dark surface. Beneath it stands a glass and black metal console table styled with an open book on a stand, a rounded white mushroom lamp, a marble bowl, stacked art books and a dark sculptural ring. The shot shows how the glowing phrase works as a quiet focal point in a neutral, textural interior, its warm light drawing the eye above the calm grey palette. Lauren Baker | This Moment | In Situ
A photograph of This Moment, the white neon artwork by British artist Lauren Baker, taken in a darkened room. The handwritten neon script 'This Moment' glows brightly across the face of its long black panel, the only light source in the frame, its glow bleeding softly onto the wall and floor around it. At this angle, the physical construction of the piece is visible: the glass tubes stand off the panel on their mounts, with wiring and fixings just perceptible at the edges, and the panel itself floats on the dark wall, its depth casting a shadow beneath. The atmosphere is hushed and immersive, the two words burning like a thought in the dark. Lauren Baker | This Moment | On Wall

This Moment is a quiet command in light: white neon mounted on a black aluminium panel, its glowing words suspended against darkness. In a practice full of questions, invitations and mantras, this piece does something plainer and more radical: it points at now. No qualifier, no condition, simply the present tense made luminous. The work continues the present-moment thread that runs through Baker's typographic neons, from the public work All Your Life You Were Waiting For This Moment, shown at Kensington and Chelsea Art Week, to Your Moment, which she has linked explicitly to Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. Where those works build toward the moment, This Moment arrives: the black aluminium ground swallows the surrounding room, so the neon reads as words floating in darkness, the way a thought surfaces in stillness. The wide, low format, 112 cm across and 57 cm high, gives the phrase the calm authority of a horizon line. Handmade in neon glass and mounted on a black aluminium panel with 10 cm depth, the work casts a soft white glow into the space around it. Signed and numbered from an edition of 3. £4,500.
