The artwork and its title references the Doors song “ L.A Woman” … an ode to
the city of Los Angeles - the fantasy and myth juxtaposed with a harsher
reality of the unobtainable. The artwork plays with the fantasy and pop
symbolism of the late 60’s and explores the fallacy of the American dream. The
darker underbelly which is just below the surface , hiding behind the glitzy
facade that is Hollywood … Nothing is quite what it seems.
