This is a contemporary figurative painting with layers of acrylic, collage and oil paint. Areas of mark making and collage fuse with delicately painted areas of the face and Toni focuses on finding the balance between the two.
A solitary tree and a solitary figure, 'One' finds a solace and completeness in quiet, reflective moments. Often moments of reflection and introspection can bring a deeper understanding of us and the world around us.
