Very much a painting inspired by the movement of nature, the seasons and emotions.
This is a contemporary figurative painting with layers of spray paint and oil paint over initial layers of acrylic and collage. Becoming heavily textured over time this painting leaves areas of space for the texture to enhance movement.
Toni enjoys working with wide, landscape format canvases to pull out the painterly space into a kind of inner landscape, focusing on light and reflections, elements of nature flowing in and out. With this piece she could really emphasise this.
