Thoughts of how we move through our life carrying memories and moments led the direction of this piece, and how we are reflected in nature.

This is a large scale contemporary figurative painting built up with layers of acrylic, spray paint, collage and oil paint. Some areas of collaged text and painterly elements show through the final layers of paint and glazes.

Made over many months Toni kept returning to this painting, letting it move and evolve in whatever ways it needed. The title arrived at the very end and felt fitting; life and art mirroring each other, moving through challenges in life and in painting.
