Dan Baldwin’s print ‘Bliss’ is based on artwork he originally created for British Airways: a 4 x 4-foot painting on handmade watercolour paper which was then used as the cover for an edition of their first-class in-flight magazine titled, ‘The Bliss Issue’. This piece in itself was inspired by a painting and print he had released several years prior for The Groucho Club Collection, titled ‘Love.' ‘Bliss’ is a return to these pieces: simplified but full of movement, inky splashes of colour and a warm, effervescent glow. The composition bursts with nature; Baldwin’s signature swallow taking flight amidst a waterfall of blossoming flowers and glossy silhouettes. The vivid hues of colour mark a transformation in in Baldwin’s work, his dark dreamy style now glinting with fresh new hope
