Renewal explores
regeneration as both a natural process and as a material act of construction.
Built through layered collage, containing repurposed ephemera as well as
handprinted and hand-painted elements, acrylic paint, inks, and dry media, the
work reflects the cyclical rhythms of growth, erosion, and re-emergence found
within the landscape.

The composition suggests a
landscape in transition - water flows across the foreground, carrying fragments
and traces through the surface, while the rising sun and emerging tree evoke
restoration, resilience, and the possibility of renewal after periods of
dormancy or change. The layered structure of the painting mirrors these ideas
physically, with surfaces built, obscured, and revealed over time. Rather than
depicting a specific place, the landscape becomes a contemplative space
inviting connection between process, memory, and the regenerative cycles
present within both nature and artistic practice.

This is a many layered
painting, encompassing handwritten and hand painted collaged pieces, acrylic
paint, inks and dry media.
