Will Budgett | Manon
This work is inspired
by British ballet dancer and choreographer, Kenneth MacMillan’s ‘Manon. In this
piece, the small figure represents the tangible world Manon cannot escape,
while the shadows expand into the realms of longing, consequence, and fate. It
is a work about beauty and burden, light and loss; about a young woman whose
spirit flickers brilliantly before being consumed by the very world that once
dazzled her.
