The box around the face is used to show constraint within our thoughts, the ears are playful and encourage us not to take our looks so seriously and to have more balance. The feather expresses freedom of thoughts. Natural elements are used to show a belief in nature. Laces and pattern are looking at adornment and decoration." Roo Abrook
British artists, Roo Abrook creates collages on wooden panels combining acrylic paints, digital prints, spray paints and gold leaf with striking layers
of history. The works often integrate original Victorian photography and vintage
magazine advertising, reimagined through bold colour and contemporary collage
techniques. This fusion of vintage imagery and modern materials creates a
distinctive artwork that often discusses femininity and beauty ideals in a surrealist style.
