Magna-Heart (341.3 Hz) is part of Lauren Baker's exploration of the seven chakras in the human body and the sound frequencies that stimulate them. While creating each piece in the series, Lauren listened to the frequency of each chakra in order to visually interpret its unseen energy; this work represents the heart chakra, connected to love, creativity, compassion and acceptance. At the centre of the composition, a luminous orb of sparkling white light glows like a star caught mid-birth, ringed by a hot pink aura that pulses outward into soft green and deep blue tones. Hand-embellished diamond dust catches the light from every angle, so the piece literally sparkles as you move around it: an energy field you can see .At full size (100 x 100cm), the work becomes a true statement piece. Hung on a darker wall, the pink aura appears to float off the surface like neon light; in daylight, the diamond dust glitters across the entire orb. It anchors a room on its own or pairs with the other frequencies in the chakra series.
