Jayson Lilley's love of urban architecture shines through his work, and reminds us of the beauty to be found in the urban environment when we choose to notice it. Using his innovative printmaking practice, which combines silkscreen with painting and collage techniques, the artist recreates iconic views of cities, playing with colour and perspective in the process. In this piece, Lilley captures a view of the River Thames that showcases the ornate beauty of Chelsea’s Albert Bridge. The bridge is referred to as ‘the trembling lady’ due to its tendency to vibrate when vehicles cross it.
