Ed Sumner Biography

Ed Sumner, a resident of Northwest London, hails from Yorkshire and is a graduate of Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Fine Art. Initially working as a paper merchant, Ed transitioned to full-time painting, establishing his studio to focus on his artistic endeavours. His work captures the awe-inspiring transformation of skyscapes, blending urban and natural beauty to create enriching pieces for any environment. Notably, he portrays iconic North London locations, including views from Primrose Hill, Greenwich, and Hampstead Heath. Ed's painting style draws significant inspiration from J.W. Turner, employing colours that evoke intense emotions. He has garnered considerable acclaim at various art fairs in London, such as The Other Art Fair and the Affordable Art Fair, both in New York and Hampstead.


In addition to commissioned projects, Ed explores his local surroundings, offering a personal tribute to London through his art.
