My twin themes for 2025 are Balance and Connection
Both states that can be lacking in our fast paced, stress-filled human existence yet with balance in our lives and a sense of connection both to others and the wider natural world we are both healthier and happier.
Living a stone's through (!) from a rocky beach I often encounter carefully balanced rockpiles left by a visitor. These beautiful, temporary artworks always make me stop, think and ponder. My 2d representation of a cluster of cairns is deliberately chaotic and out of kilter; it is possible to find balance, even in today's world. They may look wobbly but they are all standing strong!
