Collaged painting combines a photograph of an original Victorian photo card, the female sitter has had a ‘facelift’ with a new portrait painted over the top, creating layers of time. The face has oversized eyes to emphasise the sitters view of herself. Victorian lace, frames and fans decorate her and titles taken from 50’s beauty magazines juxtapose the image.
