This painted portrait investigates our concepts of beauty from within and how that can be distorted by the outside world. The box around the face is used to show constraint within our thoughts, the ears are playful and encourage us not to take our looks so seriously and to have more balance. The feather expresses freedom of thoughts. Natural elements are used to show a belief in nature. Laces and pattern are looking at adornment and decoration.
