Albert's
collection of abstract works are influenced by jazz music from the 40's,50's
and 60s, in particular Miles Davis. This was the music that he heard when
Albert was young and his father, the artist in the family, played when he is
painting or was taking a rest after he painted. He was Albert's first encounter
with love and passion for arts.
Playing jazz music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60's but also modern jazz allows and
helps Albert to make his work because it transpires him to the abstract
expressionism movement, which you can see has a big influence on his work,
combined with memories of Albert's youth. Albert has developed a special
interest in abstract expressionism over the years. Artists like, Mark Tobey,
Jackson Pollock, Joan Mitchell, and many more from that period were and still
are a great inspiration to Albert.
